Receding, thinning and balding hair

Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-invasive treatment that uses detailed micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp. This creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles to help thicken and restore the look of fuller hair. If you are starting to thin, recede, or if you are bald, we can give you the look of a short clippered cut. Scalp Micropigmentation can also restore receded hairlines, thicken remaining hair, camouflage transplant scarring, and create the look of close-cropped hair. To create the appearance of hair and hair follicles, a HPP Practitioner will use state-of-the-art equipment to create your desired hairline, add density to thinning areas, and blend into your existing hair for a seamless look. HPP allows you to fully determine and design your treatment, with input on hairline design, style preferences, and overall goals. To create the most natural appearance possible, on average, patients receive two to three treatments spaced out 10-14 days between each session, followed by touch ups every 3-5 years, if necessary.

Scar and Alopecia camouflage

A large percentage of scalp micropigmentation clients seek the treatment to help camouflage scarring associated with prior hair transplants and alopecia. If you are conscious about the visibility of your surgical scar or alopecia, scalp micropigmentation can help conceal it. At HPP we believe scalp micropigmentation to be one of the most effective treatments to combat all types of Alopecia. We don’t just treat the scalp, at HPP we are able to use SMP techniques on other areas Alopecia has affected. A HPP practitioner will accurately colour match and gently deposit pigment into the scar and surrounding area to help blend and diminish the visibility of the scar and create the look of follicles.

Scalp Micropigmentation treatments for Alopecia usually take around 4 treatment sessions when treatment of the entire scalp is required, this depends on the amount of treatment required.

Touch ups

Scalp Micropigmentation is a permanent treatment for hair loss. It will last a lifetime with minimal touch ups and maintenance. How often you require touch ups varies and is dependant on depends factors such as your immune system, sun exposure and how you look after your treatment especially in the first 6 weeks following your treatment. Some clients require touch ups around 4 to 6 years and others may require touch ups every 2 to 3 years. If your skin holds pigment well, some clients may never need a touch up. Whether you had your Scalp Micropigmentation treatment with us or at another clinic, we are always happy to help with touch ups and adjustments.

Our touch up sessions usually last around 1-2 hours during which we can match your current shade or darken your treatment if required. We also offer adjustment sessions. At HPP we understand that over time your preference can change, for example you may have originally opted for an edge up hairline but you now feel a natural scattered hairline is more suitable. If you wish to adjust the density or style of your hairline to fit your current requirement, we are always on hand to help you achieve your desired look.

For women

Female hair loss can be very traumatic and often unspoken of. Women often experience thinning hair around their parting and crown areas, alopecia or can suffer hair loss around their temple area due to tight hair styles. If your confidence is lacking due to this, a HPP practitioner can offer no obligation confidential advice on how to create a natural, full hairline restoring your femininity.
